The camp has just 25 widely-spaced luxury tents, raised on timber platforms, each with a glorious view of the plains. Each tent has a spacious furnished deck leading to a bedroom furnished in antique Edwardian style with steamer-trunks, writing desk, brass lamps, rugs, sepia photographs and four-poster bed with patchwork quilt. Each tent has its own personal valet. Kirawaira is situated adjacent to the famous western corridor of the Serengeti National Park - arena of the ‘Greatest Wildlife Show on Earth', the annual migration of over one million wildebeest.
Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp
Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp, a unique luxury tented camp. Located on one of the main annual migration corridors for over one million wildebeest, half a million zebras and gazelles, and their accompanying cast of predators it is also located at the very epicenter of one of the world's most famous national parks. The large canvas tents are widely spaced throughout the rocky glades of the camp and connected by winding stone paths. Each thatched tent stands on a stone platform and features a spacious bedroom with two queen-sized four-poster beds, a tented bathroom, with twin basins, shower and flush toilet. There is also a seating area with stylish lamps and easy chairs. On the spacious private terrace are both safari chairs and sun loungers
This afternoon enjoy a game drive in Serengeti National Park. The grasslands and savannahs of the Serengeti National Park sustain a huge animal population and are world-famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration. Golden-manned lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, elephant, jackals, wild dogs, topi and impala are just a few of the hundreds of different species that live in the massive park.
Alternatively enjoy exploring the plains around Ndutu, the main holding ground for migratory animals where vast herds congregate and linger for more than four months, from December to April, before they start moving across the Serengeti in search of greener pastures and water. Ndutu area forms an important part of the Serengeti ecosystem, in particular the short grass plains which provide calving grounds for wildebeest and other migratory animals, usually taking place between January and March. Big herds of migratory animals in their hundreds of thousands can be seen here from December before they start fanning out into central Serengeti in April / May, with predators including lions, cheetah, hyenas, and jackals closely following.

TRAVELER TESTIMONIAL
We took the Luxury Tanzania Experience...and it was above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. The accomodations were amazing! The staff at each location made it feel as if they knew us before we even got there...and at each location we stayed, we got to celebrate our anniversary all over again, with singing and dancing and special treats at each location.
If you are nervous about going to Africa, put your worries aside and use Lion World Travel...they take all the fear out and make it the most enjoyable trip you can imagine. They made arrangements with Leopard Tours, and our guide Eugene could not have been better. His driving, his knowledge and his concern about our comfort and happiness made the trip just perfect!! So book with Cheryl, request Eugene and sit back and enjoy the perfect trip!!
