As the Nile River Cruise only departs on Mondays, this tour always begins on a Thursday.
Day 1 (Thursday) - Arrive Cairo, Egypt
On arrival in Cairo, Egypt, you are met by a Lion World Travel representative and transferred to the Four Seasons at the First Residence.
The hotel takes full advantage of its setting overlooking a range of lovely views from the Great pyramids and the Nile to the Botanical Gardens.

Day 2 (Friday) - Cairo
Meet with your private Egyptologist guide and start your tour of the Egyptian Museum, which houses Egypt's richest collection of antiquities.
Visit the Citadel of Salah al-Din, a massive fortress that was home to Egypt’s rulers for more than 700 years. Your sightseeing concludes with a visit to the oldest bazaar of the Middle East, the Khan El Khalili, known for its several alleys and hundreds of small little shops selling various items.
Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

Day 3 (Saturday) - Cairo/Giza
Visit the ancient capital of Memphis. View the 80-ton Alabaster Sphinx and the limestone Colossus of Ramesses II.
Lunch at the Mena House Hotel which overlooks the Giza Pyramids, which you will visit this afternoon.

Day 4 (Sunday) - Cairo/Luxor
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Luxor. You will be met on arrival and transferred to the Hilton Luxor Resort and Spa on the east bank of the lush River Nile. The guest rooms are air-conditioned, with mini bar, television and high-speed internet access. The hotel offers a tempting range of dining and bar experiences.
Accommodation: Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa - Deluxe Nile View (B, L)
Day 5 (Monday) - Luxor/Nile Cruise
You will be transferred to the port to board the River Tosca, setting a new standard of luxury on the Nile for the next four nights. Each of the suites has balconies for incredible Nile River views.
After lunch on board, there is an excursion to the Karnak Temple, a complex of temples, obelisks, pylons, court colonnades, hall reliefs and sanctuaries. Afterwards the boat embarks on a northbound course to Dendera where the boat will dock overnight.

Day 6 (Tuesday) - Dendera/Luxor-Nile Cruise
Visit the Temple of Hathor, a preserved site, complete with massive stone roof, dark chambers, underground passages and towering columns inscribed with hieroglyphs.

Day 7 (Wednesday) - Luxor/Kom Ombo-Nile Cruise
This morning, cross the Nile to Luxor's West Bank, best known by its Greek name, Thebes, the capital of Egypt and became the permanent residence of the Pharaohs. This where the Pharaohs were buried, and the Valley of the Kings has more than 60 tombs carved in the rock. The most famous is the tomb of Tutankhamun.
Please Note: For entrance into the tomb of Tutankhamen an additional ticket is needed and can be arranged for in Luxor. This is an extra cost, on our own account.
Visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s first female ruler. Return to the boat for lunch and continue your journey, passing through the Esna lock to Kom Ombo.
This evening, enjoy a fun-filled Egyptian dinner and Galabeya party, including typical Egyptian music and activities.

Day 8 (Thursday) - Nom Ombo/Aswan-Nile Cruise
Visit the dual temple in Kom Ombo, divided into two symmetrical halves. Return to the ship for lunch, and sail to Aswan. This afternoon visit the High Dam built in 1960, which took ten years to complete, and the granite quarries.
Later you will board a felucca for a sail across the Nile and a visit to the Botanical Gardens. Dinner will include a Nubian show with live music.

Day 9 (Friday) - Aswan/Abu Simbel/Aswan/Cairo
Disembark the boat and transfer to the airport for your flight to Abu Simbel.
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the UNESCO-designated site of the Temples of Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo via Aswan where you will be met and transferred to Hilton Heliopolis for a farewell dinner.

Day 10 (Saturday) - Cairo/Depart
Around midnight you will transfer to the airport with a very early departure flight. (B)
