The 4-star Commodore Hotel exemplifies deluxe accommodation and quality service, overlooking the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, with views of Table Mountain, Robben Island, the harbor, and the Atlantic Ocean. Day 2 - Cape Town

Uthando Org

After breakfast, you will depart on your morning Uthando Philanthropic Cultural Tour.
The tour takes place in the expansive townships or informal settlements like the Cape Flats in the eastern part of the city. Expert guides provide an in-depth overview of the history of South Africa and, particularly, the role that apartheid played in creating these communities.

In the afternoon, you will board the ferry to Robben Island, home to Nelson Mandela for so many years. Robben Island was a place of imprisonment for political troublemakers, and Nelson Mandela was one of them. It is a highly charged and emotional moment when you visit the site. After the tour, return by ferry to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Accommodation: Commodore Hotel - Standard Room (B)
