Day 1 - November 30th - Arrive Cape Town
On arrival at Cape Town Airport, you will be met by a Lion World Travel representative and transferred to the luxurious Table Bay Hotel.

Day 2 - December 1st - Cape Town
After breakfast depart on a full-day of sightseeing with Frank and Nina.
Enjoy a Cape Peninsula Tour ending with a private cable car ride with Frank and Nina to the top of the iconic Table Mountain to watch the sunset (the cable car-ride up Table Mountain is weather dependent.)
Drive along the exquisite stretch of coastline known as Millionaire’s Paradise – from Clifton to Camps Bay, towards the working harbor of Hout Bay and along the legendary Chapman’s Peak Drive.
After a stop for lunch, visit the Cape of Good Hope Section of the Table Mountain National Park. You will have the opportunity to ride the Flying Dutchman funicular to the old lighthouse for awe-inspiring views.
Finally, the tour makes its way back along the coast towards the City, visiting the historic naval port of Simon’s Town and the endearing African penguin colony at Boulders Beach before heading to Table Mountain.

Day 3 - December 2nd - Cape Town
Join Frank and Nina as you board the ferry for the boat ride to Robben Island (weather permitting), for a private tour. You will be joined by Christo Brand, who was Nelson Mandela's prison warden on Robben Island for many years. He has a wonderful story to tell of their extraordinary and close friendship that continued from beyond the prison cell into Parliament.
Robben Island is a World Heritage Site with stunning views across the bay with Table Mountain as its backdrop. For nearly 400 years Robben Island was a place of banishment, exile, isolation, and imprisonment.
Return to your hotel with time for relaxation or to do some shopping in the waterfront.
This evening Frank and Nina will host you for a fun and interactive dinner and drumming session at Gold Restaurant.
Gold Restaurant will take you on a taste safari from Cape Town to Timbuktu with its multi-course menu served at your table. Start your evening with an interactive Djembe drumming session which will get you in tune with the African rhythms and songs for the rest of the night.
Enjoy an African and Cape Malay set 14-course menu served to you by one of the beautifully adorned servers who will explain each dish to you and from which country the dish originates. The unique live entertainment will take you into the heart of Africa. Transfer to your hotel after dinner.

Day 4 - December 3rd - Cape Town
Today Frank has curated a Private Wine Experience to visit some of his favorite wineries.
Stop for lunch at a local restaurant and you will have time to stroll down the main road of Franschhoek where you will find world-class shops and quaint boutiques.

Day 5 - December 4th - Cape Town/Hoedspruit
It is time to say goodbye to beautiful Cape Town as you transfer from your hotel to Cape Town Airport. On arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met and transferred to the Kapama Private Game Reserve and the 5 star Kapama River Lodge. The spacious air-conditioned suites have uninterrupted views over the reserve, and all feature full en-suite bathrooms with lavish amenities.
This afternoon head out on an open vehicle game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve – sure to be a thrilling experience.

Day 6 - December 5th - Kapama Private Game Reserve
Enjoy two daily game drives accompanied by a skilled ranger and tracker. Expect to encounter a diverse range of animal and bird species on game drives. Since this is a Big Five reserve, seeing lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo is possible.
Evening meals are often enjoyed seated around a roaring fire in the Rhino Boma. Alternatively enjoy a romantic dinner in the dry riverbed in front of the lodge, under a star-studded African night sky.

Day 7 - December 6th - Kapama Private Game Reserve
Another day to experience exciting morning and afternoon game drives.
Each day on safari brings a new experience. Perhaps you will see a leopard lounging in a tree, or you may be lucky to follow a lion on the hunt or even watch a herd of elephants come down to the river to drink and play.
Head out in the late afternoon for another exciting game drive. Returning to the lodge for a delicious dinner under the stars.

Day 8 - December 7th - Kapama / Hoedspruit / Johannesburg
After an early morning game drive to track the animals that may have eluded, return to the lodge for breakfast. Later you will be transferred to Hoedspruit Airport for your scheduled flight to Johannesburg.
On arrival you will be met and transferred to The DaVinci Hotel and Suites on Nelson Mandela Square, on the outskirts of vibrant Johannesburg. There is an on-site spa offering a range of treatments, a well-equipped gym, a whiskey and cigar lounge and a gourmet restaurant. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, 24-hour room service, dry cleaning/laundry service, health club, luggage storage and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A day at leisure. You can take an Optional Tour to visit the iconic Apartheid Museum.
This is a multimedia experience, with documentary film snippets, texts, sound clips of life in the dark days of apartheid through to Nelson Mandela's historic release. It's a fascinating tour, filled with tales of bravery and sadness, but ultimately, it's a story with the right ending.
