Day 1 - Johannesburg
Welcome to Africa! Upon arrival at Johannesburg’s Oliver Tambo International Airport, collect your luggage and clear Customs & Immigration. You will be met by a Lion World Travel representative and transferred to the Da Vinci Hotel.
Da Vinci Hotel and Suites is situated adjacent to the prestigious Nelson Mandela Square. Experience the opulence of the hotel rooms, the local restaurants and Legacy’s pioneering fitness centre and health spa. Day 2 - Victoria Falls
This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred from the Da Vinci Hotel to OR Tambo International Airport where you will board your regional flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. On arrival in Victoria Falls you will be met for a road transfer to your hotel.
Later this afternoon you will be collected from Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and taken on a Sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, including drinks and snacks. Drift along the mighty Zambezi River in Victorian splendour as you try to spot game in and around the flowing waters.
Situated not far from the Victoria Falls and lying adjacent to the Zambezi National Park, this masterpiece of wood and thatch gives you the impression of an open-plan tree-house. An endless parade of wildlife is attracted to the waterhole right in front of the lodge. All the rooms have private decks, offering you impressive views of the bushveld and brilliant African sunsets.

Day 3 - Victoria Falls
This morning you depart a walking tour of the Victoria Falls.

The Victoria Falls is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. David Livingstone was the first European to visit the falls and named it after Queen Victoria. To the locals, it is known as “Mosi-Oa-Tunya” – The Smoke that Thunders – an accurate description of what happens when the waters of the Zambezi River plunge over the chasm, creating a shower of spray and a deafening noise.
From February to May each year, the Victoria Falls are in full flood and 500 million litres of water tumble over the edge into a series of gorges each minute! After a briefing and explanation of the falls, your guide accompanies you along the scenic pathways of the rainforest, stopping at numerous viewpoints to gaze at the falls.

Day 4 - Hwange National Park
Today after breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Victoria Falls airport where a Lion World Travel Representative will assist you to your light aircraft transfer to Hwange and then you will be taken by road to Davison's Camp.
In the afternoon enjoy your first game drive within the Hwange National Park.
As one of the few camps located within the Park boundaries, Davison's will offer you complete privacy, as well as a compelling mix of diverse wildlife. The camps nine en-suite tents are hidden in the shade of ancient mopane trees and from the comfort of your bed you will be able to watch the continuous procession of game at the camp’s waterhole.
In between activities, while the hours away in our main area as you observe the thriving life on the plains and contemplate the splendour of Hwange.

Day 5 - Hwange National Park
Enjoy game viewing activities as offered by the camp. The focus is on game drives; however, a well-situated bunker hide provides an idyllic way to spend a lazy afternoon while watching passing wildlife. Guided walks may also be arranged on request.
You will typically see elephant, buffalo, sable, roan, southern giraffe, blue wildebeest, impala and sometimes even gemsbok. Lion, leopard, wild dog and cheetah are regularly sighted. Bird life is prolific with more than 400 species found here.

Day 6 - Mana Pools National Park
This morning after breakfast you will fly by light aircraft to Ruckomechi Camp situated at the Mana Pools National Park. Mana Pools National Park lies at the heart of the Zambezi Valley, where the Zambezi River meanders for 185 miles to the Mozambican border. It is a remote, beautiful place with spectacular views of the broad flowing river, floodplains, the tree canopy and the mountains of the Rift Valley escarpment over the border in Zambia.
The Mana pools hold water all year round, drawing all manner of wildlife and waterfowl during the dry season. The plentiful Ana trees that characterize the floodplain shed their protein-rich pods during this time too, providing vital sustenance for many species, particularly elephant.
Set on the banks of the dominating Zambezi River brimming with hippo, the biodiversity surrounding Ruckomechi Camp is a naturalist’s paradise. A large grove of acacia and mahogany trees with a fabulous mountainous backdrop of the Great Rift Valley sets the scene, while large numbers of elephant, buffalo and eland create the excitement. With these stunning views also evident from your spacious en-suite tent, you will be smitten with your secluded outdoor 'bath-with-a-view'. Low-level walkways connect the 10 guest tents to the beautifully designed central dining, bar, library and lounge areas. For your comfort we also have a separate deck with an infinity pool for swimming and sun bathing, and an inviting, cushion-strewn star-gazing deck.

Day 7 - Mana Pools National Park
Enjoy the safari activities as offered by the camp or take the day off and just laze around the camp. Activities at Ruckomechi Camp include wildlife viewing in open 4x4 vehicles, on motorized pontoon boats, on foot and in canoes.
The area is renowned for large numbers of elephant, buffalo, hippo and eland, especially in the winter when they concentrate along the river. Predators such as lion, leopard and wild dog are all found in the area. Birdlife in the area is also superb.

Today you will be transferred to the airstrip for your light aircraft transfer to Harare Airport.

Township tours of the Cape Flats and Khayelitsha provide insight into life in these vibrant communities. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is one of the city's most popular shopping venues, with several hundred shops and the Two Oceans Aquarium.
