Day 1 - Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met by a representative of Lion World Travel and transferred to Karibu Guest House. Relax and enjoy the gardens and views of Lake Victoria.

Day 2 - Entebbe/Kibale Tropical Rain Forest
Today after breakfast, you will be transferred through beautiful agricultural countryside and tea plantations into Kibale tropical rain forest. The gorgeous tropical forest is home to much forest wildlife including various primates along with chimpanzees.
Enjoy the natural beauty of the forest from your tent or cottage privately set within the forest. One chimpanzee trek is included during your stay.
Discover a place where the serene silence is only interrupted by the melodious sounds of the numerous forest birds, that combines comfort with adventure and perfectly blends with the natural environment.

Day 3 - Kibale Tropical Rain Forest
Explore lush green Kibale Forest, surrounded by bird song as you go in search of chimpanzee and other primates (there are 13 species here) like the grey-cheeked managebey and the red-tailed monkey.

Day 4 - Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today after breakfast, you will be transferred to gently descend into The Great African Rift Valley and Queen Elizabeth National Park to Mazike Valley Lodge, a luxury lodge with stunning views over the park and Kyambura Gorge. Each private cottage has a lovely balcony from which the diversity of wildlife in the park can be enjoyed.

On your afternoon game drive look out for some of the 95 mammal species and over 610 species of birds in the park.

Day 5 - Queen Elizabeth National Park
Venture out on game drives and take a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel to view some of the largest concentration of hippo in the world. This evening traditional dancers will entertain you as you relax on the sundowner deck - the perfect place to enjoy the sunset.

Day 6 - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Today you will be driven to the Ishasha region looking out for tree climbing lions and other game. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest passing through the scenic "Switzerland of East Africa."

Enjoy luxury accommodation at Mahogany Springs Lodge where gorillas can regularly be viewed from the terraces.

Day 7 - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
This is what you’ve been waiting for! A hike through the beautiful forest brings you to face to face with a gorilla group. Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as you gaze into the eyes of a mountain gorilla, feeling the bond that exists between primate and human and emotionally realizing that these great creatures are on the brink of extinction.

Day 8 - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Your choice! Today your tour includes a cultural visit to the Batwa Community, but if you prefer, you can go on a second gorilla trek (at an additional cost).
The Batwa are the original dwellers of the ancient forest. Visit a traditional Batwa homestead and learn how to prepare a traditional meal. Learn about the medicinal properties of the forest flora. Hear ancient legends and traditional songs.

Day 9 - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest/Depart
Depart Bwindi by flight back to Entebbe to connect with your late afternoon or evening departure flight. (B)
