This experience promotes sustainable food experiences, small scale farmer interactions or responsible consumption and educates our guests on the importance of natural ecosystems or wildlife conservation, and contributes to their restoration or repopulation. During a stay at Bisate, one of the Bisate agronomists will show you around the tree nursery and help you plant a sapling as part of our reforestation project.
Day 1 - Kigali
Upon arrival at Kigali Airport, you will be met by a Lion World Travel representative and transferred to the 5 star Kigali Serena Hotel.

Day 2 - Kigali/Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast depart on a full day Kigali Tour including the Genocide Memorial Centre, a permanent memorial for victims of the genocide of 1994 followed by a local lunch. Then enjoy a scenic drive to your chosen lodge or hotel, admiring the volcanic peaks and mountain scenery along the way.

Day 3 - Volcanoes National Park
A physically demanding hike rewards you with the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery. Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as you watch the gorillas. This is one of the most profound experiences.

Day 4 - Volcanoes National Park/Kigali
Today experience a golden monkey walk to view the playful and inquisitive golden monkeys, who often spend their time leaping from bamboo branches or frolicking on the forest floor.
Then leaving the mountains and volcanoes behind, you will travel back to Kigali and overnight at the Kigali Serena Hotel.

Day 5 - Kigali/Depart
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight arrangements. (B)

One gorilla trek permit is included per person. Additional gorilla trek permits are available for US$1,500 per person. Extra golden monkey trek permits are also available for US$100 per person. (Note: these permit prices are subject to change at any time.)

- Items of a personal nature such as drinks, laundry and telephone calls, etc.
- Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption and Medical Insurance are required for the entire duration of your travels – please note that insurance for this trip is a mandatory requirement from suppliers in Africa – proof of insurance must be provided before bookings are confirmed.
