We are proud to present our newest video showcasing the destination we love: Africa. We are inspired everyday by the wild beauty of this unique continent, home to amazing wildlife, diverse cultures and awe-inspiring locales. Our goal with this video was to capture some of that magic to share with the world.

I recently attended the World Travel & Tourism Council's (WTTC) 18th Global Summit with 800 other delegates from across the globe. This year’s theme is: “Our People, Our World, Our Future”. The summit asked challenging questions facing our travel industry today and how we can work together towards a more sustainable future.
Peace, calm, relaxation, are words that I connect with nature. On my recent Tanzanian safari, I was able to enjoy all of this and more on what I can only describe was a rejuvenating safari experience.
We are proud to announce that, in partnership with the TreadRight Foundation, Lion World Travel is launching a new conservation initiative to protect Africa’s big cats, just in time for Earth Day 2018.

Meerkats are one of Africa’s most well-known small mammals. Meerkats are sometimes hard to see on safari, but when you do, they always make for a fascinating sighting. Their fun social behaviour and iconic stance (resting on their hind legs to survey the terrain around them) is always a delight to behold. I invite you to learn more about marvelous meerkats on our blog!
Botswana’s Chobe National Park is one the premier safari destinations in Africa. Featuring one of the largest concentrations of wildlife on the continent, Chobe is an ideal destination for safari travelers eager to see Africa’s animals in abundance. Situated in the north east corner of Chobe National Park sits the Chobe Game Lodge, an elegant five-star retreat that’s also home to Botswana’s only all-women safari guiding team. We invite you to learn about the journey of these incredible women on our blog.
One of the animals you absolutely cannot miss when you go on safari in East Africa is the wildebeest. These large, brown herbivores move in vast herds across the plains of Africa, always on the look out for food and water. But there’s more to these antelopes (yes, wildebeests are antelopes!) than meets the eye. We invite you to learn more about the wildebeest on our blog.
Now, more than ever, issues facing women are gaining momentum worldwide. With the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements spurring activism in the US, #PressForProgress – the call for gender parity championed by International Women’s Day 2018 (March 8) – couldn't come at a better time.
The hippopotamus is one of Africa's most iconic creatures and one of Earth's most enduring animals, with ancestors dating back over 155,000 years. There's more to these 'river horses' than meets the eye and we invite you to get to know the hippopotamus on our blog!
