A Totally Fabulous Experience

October 7, 2016

We had hoped one day to go on a safari. When we saw what Lion World Travel had to offer, and the great reviews they got, we decided to book a trip. And we are so glad we did!

Laurandie was awesome in handling our travel arrangements. We got so much more than just a safari. Lion World offers so much in their 7 night stay in South Africa! We spent 4 nights in Cape Town at the great Table Bay Hotel. The Cape Peninsula is beautiful. On our first day we had a great wine tour in Franschhoek (where in our case, we met the other Lion World tourists that would be going with us to Thornybush Game Reserve, nice plus). We had a helicopter ride included dinner tour and Laurandie arranged for us to see Table Mountain and do a shark dive, and we also added a trip down to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. A great stay in Cape Town!! Then on to the safari at Jackalberry Lodge (also great reviews... well justified). Just 14 people in the whole lodge! What an experience! Morning and afternoon game drives...amazing how close we got to the animals!! We saw the Big 5 and so many others both while on the game drives and at the lodge grounds! Great service and food at the lodge was a bonus.

Between Cape Town and Thornybush Game Reserve, it seemed like we packed 2 weeks into one. A totally fabulous experience that we highly recommend for anyone wanting a safari experience.
