While at Sasaab or Loisaba Tented Camp, you can visit the hospitable Samburu people, who are delighted to show you their traditions and way of life.
The Samburu are a sub-tribe of the more well-known Maasai. As a semi-nomadic group, they herd cattle, sheep and goats. Originally from the Nile Valley, this group of Nilotic people migrated south hundreds of years ago to an area between Mount Kenya and Lake Turkana.
A member of the village will speak extensively about the transition to the different stages in life. Each is marked by ceremonies and rituals that have their beginnings in ancient tradition. Afterwards, the young men of the village will demonstrate adamu, commonly referred to as the jumping dance. Guests will then be welcomed into a mantana, a hut made of cow-dung and branches, where each family lives.
Day 1 - Arrive Nairobi
Welcome to Nairobi, Kenya’s vibrant capital city! On arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a Lion World Travel Representative and transferred to the 5-star Hemingways.

Day 2 - Nairobi/Amboseli
After breakfast, connect with your SkySafari flight to Amboseli National Park. Enjoy a game drive en-route to Tortilis Camp.
The spacious, well-appointed thatched tents of Elewana Tortilis Camp are set in a private conservancy, with views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Depart on an afternoon game drive followed by dinner at the camp.

Day 3 - Amboseli
Enjoy an early morning game drive, followed by a lavish breakfast. In the afternoon, head out on your next game activity. Either a game drive for more encounters or choose a walking safari for a different perspective. Return to the camp for dinner.

Day 4 - Amboseli/Loisaba
After a morning game drive, depart for the airstrip. Take a SkySafari flight to Loisaba Conservancy. On arrival enjoy a game drive to Loisaba Tented Camp arriving in time for lunch.
The contemporary-luxe Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp – perched on an escarpment, with unhindered views of Mt Kenya.

Day 5 - Loisaba Conservancy
This morning’s game activity will be a walking safari, led by local, traditional Samburu Guides. Later there will be an afternoon game drive. Return to camp for a swim and dinner.

Day 6 - Loisaba/Maasai Mara
Depart on a game drive en-route to Loisaba airstrip for your SkySafari flight to the world-famous Maasai Mara and Sand River Maasai Mara Camp. The camp’s location is on the banks of the serene Sand River where you might spot herds of wildlife crossing from the comfort of your own verandah.
Explore the Maasai Mara on an afternoon game drive with a stop for cocktails (sundowners) in the bush.

Day 7 - Maasai Mara

Have an early breakfast at the camp before setting out on a full day game drive in the Mara with a stop for a picnic in the bush. Return to camp for dinner under the stars.

Day 8 - Maasai Mara/Serengeti
Transfer to Keekorok airstrip with a game drive en-route for your to Kisumu and Lobo or Seronera (depending on the season) via Musoma to clear immigration.
Note: flight transfer between the Mara and the Serengeti takes place during the "downtime" hours outside of prime game viewing time, to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities.
Enjoy a game drive to Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp arriving in time for sundowners and dinner.

Day 9 - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast enjoy a full day game drive in Serengeti National Park with lunch served in the bush. It’s hard to sum up the Serengeti as its scale is too great.

Day 10 - Serengeti National Park
Enjoy another full day out in the plains of the Serengeti, with a picnic lunch and sundowners served in the bush – a quintessential day on safari. Dinner will be served on return to the camp.

Day 11 - Serengeti/Lake Manyara/Ngorongoro Crater
Take a morning guided bush walk or a game drive en-route to the airstrip for your SkySafari flight to Manyara airstrip. Arrive in time for sundowners, an optional relaxing spa treatment followed by dinner.
Note: flight transfer between the Serengeti and Lake Manyara takes place during the "downtime" hours outside of prime game viewing time, to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities on tour.

Day 12 - Ngorongoro Crater
Set out for a full day Ngorongoro Crater tour and an awesome wildlife experience. Home to around 30,000 animals, the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Stop for a gourmet picnic.

Day 13 - Ngorongoro Crater/Arusha
Depart on a game drive to Lake Manyara with picnic lunch followed by a transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha Airport. On arrival, transfer to Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge, where you can relax in your own dayroom (subject to departure time). Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
