Day 01
Depart New York or Washington for your flight to Johannesburg on South African Airways.

Day 02
Upon arrival at Johannesburg International Airport you will go through customs, collect your luggage and take the courtesy shuttle to your hotel. The Metcourt Laurel Hotel, formerly The Senator Hotel is a five star luxurious hotel giving their guests always more than their expectations. Day 03
After breakfast this morning you will take the courtesy shuttle back to Johannesburg Airport for your flight to Livingstone, Zambia on South African Airways. On arrival at Livingstone Airport you will be met and transferred by scheduled road transfer to the Zambezi Sun. Accommodation will be reserved for you for one night in a standard room inclusive of breakfast. The River Club is situated on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River, 18 kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls. The camp has a distinct Edwardian flavour and guests here have the opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River in a peaceful and tranquil setting away from the crowds. Ten luxurious, thatched chalets overlook the Zambezi River, and have en-suite facilities including a bath, shower, toilet and basin. All the rooms have fans. The rooms are all completely open in the front giving guests the best possible views of the Zambezi. The main dining room and lounge also has an interesting library. The Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and is arguably the greatest waterfall in the world. Daily trips to the Falls are a highlight. Boating to the Zambezi River's islands provides relaxed afternoon activities, and fishing and sundowner trips are offered. The Zambezi National Park is located just across the river, and elephants can be seen on the riverbank. A rich bird life is found in the area. Hippos are regularly sighted (and heard) along the river's edge.

Day 04
This morning after breakfast and check-out procedures, you will be met and transferred by scheduled road transfer to Livingstone Airport. On arrival at Livingstone Airport you will be met by a Sefofane representative and transferred by scheduled light aircraft to Lunga Airstrip. On arrival at the Lunga Airstrip you will be met by a lodge representative and transferred by road to Lunga River Lodge. Accommodation will be reserved for you for two nights in a tent inclusive of all meals, scheduled daily activities, laundry and drinks (excluding premium imported brands). At 22 500 sq km, Kafue National Park is one of the largest National Parks in Africa. In the extreme north of the Kafue lie the Busanga Plains - one of Zambia's most significant wetland resources and one of the few areas in the world that remain untouched by development and human activity. The Busanga Plains cover an area of approximately 750 sq km and are skirted by the Lunga River on their eastern side. This perennial river is one of the three main tributaries into the Busanga Plains. Situated on the banks of this magnificent river is Lunga River Lodge. The Plains are home to thousands of red lechwe, ubiquitous puku, stately roan and sable as well as the diminutive oribi and duiker. The Defassa waterbuck, herds of tsessebe, hartebeest, zebra and buffalo make for a full set of antelope. This wealth of game on the plains is also a big attraction for predators, including leopards, wild dogs, cheetah and prides of lion up to 20 strong. Lunga River Lodge has six spacious thatched rooms with private decks that overlook the river, ensuring breathtaking views.

Day 05
Today you will be at leisure and will also take part in morning and afternoon/evening game drives. A maximum of 12 guests can be accommodated at any one time and great emphasis has been placed on the "guided" experience - being led by qualified, enthusiastic people with in-depth knowledge of the area and its wildlife. Activities include game drives, walking safaris, guided canoe and boating trips as well as fishing. Night drives provide the added excitement of the nocturnal wonders of the area. For those interested in birding, Kafue National Park boasts 491 species of birds, including endemics such as Chaplin's Barbet.

Day 06
After your morning activity and brunch, you will be transferred by road to Shumba Camp. Accommodation will be reserved for you for three nights in a room inclusive of all meals, scheduled daily activities, laundry and drinks (excluding premium imported brands). At 22 500 sq km, Kafue National Park is one of the largest National Parks in Africa. For the next two days you will be at leisure and participate in game viewing activities offered by the camp. Shumba Camp comprises six spacious luxury safari tents on raised platforms with breathtaking views of the surrounding plains. A maximum of 12 guests can be accommodated at any one time and great emphasis has been placed on the "guided" experience - being led by qualified, enthusiastic people with in-depth knowledge of the area and its wildlife. Guests have the option of game drives and walking safaris in and around the Plains and night drives provide the added excitement of the nocturnal wonders of the area. For those interested in birding, the Park boasts 491 species of birds, including endemics such as Chaplin's Barbet.

Day 09
This morning, after your activity and brunch, you will be transferred by road to the Kafue Airstrip (approximately 3 Hours). On arrival at the Airstrip, you will be met by a Sefofane representative and transferred by scheduled light aircraft to Livingstone Airport for your departing flight. At Livingstone Airport you will depart on your South African Airways flight back to Johannesburg. Upon arrival in Johannesburg you will connect for your ongoing flight to New York or Washington. (B)
