Day 01
Depart from New York or Washington on South African Airways for Johannesburg, on South African Airways.
Day 02
On arrival at Johannesburg's Oliver Tambo International Airport, clear Customs & Immigration, then connect with your domestic flight to Cape Town.
Upon arrival in Cape Town you will be met by a Visit Southern Africa representative and transferred to your hotel.
The Commodore Hotel is a 5-star hotel situated in the heart of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town's center of activity, with a variety of stores, restaurants and bars. Today you will be taken on a half day Winelands tour.
While South Africa's fertile valleys are world famous for their crisp white and classic French-style red wines, the Winelands area is also a treasury of rustic beauty and sprawling estates shaded by giant oak trees. The backdrop of the Hottentots Holland Mountains, the white gabled Cape Dutch homesteads and the oak-lined streets and lanes all blend in to give this place a charm that will not be quickly forgotten. See some of the wine estates that were developed by early settlers who produced the wines sought after by Napoleon, Bismark and royalty such as Edward VII. Stop for a wine-tasting on an estate, where you will have the opportunity to purchase some of the wines.

The Cape Cadogan is a stately double-storied Georgian and Victorian building that dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. It was originally a farmhouse which was 'Victorianised' in 1912 and declared a national monument in 1984.
This boutique hotel is well known for its comfortable, luxurious atmosphere. Our reception areas are individually decorated and designed for comfort and tranquility. It is themed on the Irish literary figure Oscar Wilde who was renowned for his bohemian lifestyle throughout Europe and New York during the latter part of the 19th century.

On arrival at Johannesburg Airport connect with your scheduled flight to Kruger Mpumalanga airport. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your lodge in the Sabi Sands.
Lion Sands River Lodges are decorated in an old African style with a sundeck and bar. Lion Sands River Lodge swimming pool is built with a zero - edge overlooking the river. Lion Sands - River Lodge has 10km (6.21 miles) of Sabie River frontage with a high concentration of game around the river especially during the dry seasons. DAY 3: Shaba
Heading north after an early breakfast, pass near Thika, and then on through Nanyuki, a bustling town in the foothills of Africa's second highest mountain, Mount Kenya. Continue north through some breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and fields of tea and coffee and onward eventually reaching a dusty outpost known as Isiolo. From here it's a fairly short hop to your destination: Sarova Shaba Lodge, arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon Game drive of the reserve, leads you to the discovery of rare game indigenous to this part of Kenya.

DAY 4: Shaba
Spend the entire day in the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives, seeking out the long neck gerenuk, grevy zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa Oryx, just to mention a few.

DAY 5: LAKE NAKURU
After breakfast, depart heading Southwest to Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson's Falls for its 237 foot cascade. After a brief stopover, travel in a southerly direction to your next destination: Lake Nakuru, coloured a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Arrive at Lion Hill Lodge affording unforgettable views of the lake from its hillside perch. The Lodge also is a perfect base from which to explore the lake, with its fabulous array of birds as well as many species of game. Lunch at the lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park. A game drive in Nakuru National Park which is, of course, known for its birdlife as thousands of flamingos make this lake their home, among hundreds of other species. But wildlife is also in abundance here. You'll see large numbers of waterbuck, warthog, impala, buffalo, plains game, cheetah, and rhino.

DAY 6: MAASAI MARA
Early breakfast in the lodge. Leaving flamingo fringed Lake Nakuru behind, you head southwards and turn right at Maai Mahiu to ascend up over the top of the Mau Escarpment. Then heading due south, you travel towards Narok, gateway to the Maasai Mara and district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. You'll travel across the "breadbasket" of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley; you'll reach your destination, Mara Sarova Camp, by lunchtime. Located within the boundaries of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, this comfortable luxury camp offers delicious meals and a swimming pool, and makes a perfect base from which to explore the wonders of this corner of Kenya. Lunch in the camp Evening game drive in this magnificent game reserve. Maasai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. Game abounds here, particularly when the migration is on, and millions
of wildebeests and zebras make their way back and forth across the Mara River on their annual trek.
The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black manned males. You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as if you're lucky leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You're sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready, stock up on film and enjoy yourselves!

DAY 7: MASAI MARA
Full day at The Mara with both morning and afternoon game viewing drives in the reserve.

DAY 8: Dayroom & DEPART
After breakfast at the lodge, Depart Maasai Mara and head back to Narok, district headquarters of this part of Maasailand and then travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley keep an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle and head up the Rift Escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. You will arrive in Kenya's bustling capital city in the early afternoon.
