Day 2
Welcome to the "Mother City", Cape Town, set on a peninsula of soaring, rocky heights and lush valleys, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans converge. Immense natural beauty, and the fast pace and bright lights of a great urban centre meld effortlessly here. Cape Town is a city with spectacular natural beauty, fascinating historical sites, excellent museums and vibrant markets and warm, friendly people. 

You will stay at The PortsWood Hotel, which offers guests superlative accommodation, stunning cuisine and world-class service. This hotel is conveniently close to a variety of shopping and entertainment options in a secure and tranquil environment. The rooms offer views of Table Mountain and Table Bay harbour - and are decorated to a nautical theme. 

This evening you will be treated to a delicious welcome dinner of traditional Cape Malay cuisine at the renowned Quarterdeck Restaurant.

Day 3
Today you will be collected for a coach tour of the Cape Peninsula. Drive over mountain passes, along the rugged coastline with secluded coves and sweeping beaches to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Nowhere else in the world does an area of such spectacular beauty and such rich biodiversity exist almost entirely within a metropolitan area, the thriving and cosmopolitan City of Cape Town. With its rugged cliffs, steep slopes and sandy flats - is a truly remarkable natural, scenic wonder. 

Visit the delightful jackass Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach. These little creatures will happily bask in the sun between people lying on the beach but they do have some parts of the area to themselves. A nature reserve has been declared here to protect this endangered bird. 

On your return also stop at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens with over 3500 species of flora and fauna, some unique to this area of the world.

Day 4
Today is at leisure to relax and browse around the lovely Victoria & Alfred Waterfront or take a taxi to the Greenmarket Square flea market to shop for African souvenirs.

Day 5
Another day at leisure for independent sightseeing. You may book an optional sightseeing tour to the lovely Cape Winelands or venture to Hermanus where between August and November you may enjoy land based whale watching.

Day 6
This morning you fly to Thornybush Game Reserve, close to the world-renowned Kruger National Park, for your romantic African Safari. The majestic Drakensberg Mountains offer a spectacular backdrop for the intimate Jackalberry Lodge. Your room offers understated luxury, sumptuous en suite bathrooms with indoor as well as outdoor showers. 

Late this afternoon enjoy an open vehicle game drive guided by highly qualified game rangers. This area teems with wildlife including lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, elephant and cheetah. 

Return to the lodge for a romantic candle lit dinner served especially for you at an intimate location in the lodge.

Day 7
Enjoy an early morning beverage and snack, then set off with your ranger in a 4x4 vehicle to explore the wilderness, fresh and undisturbed in the early morning. Return to the camp for a scrumptious breakfast and a day at the lodge. 

As the day cools towards the afternoon, look forward to your evening game drive with the opportunity of viewing nocturnal animals and activities in the bush. 

Dinner this evening is in the open-air boma where you can share stories about the day's events and sightings.

Day 8
This is your final day in the African bush. Again enjoy fascinating morning and evening game drives as your ranger imparts knowledge of the wildlife in the vicinity, stopping for excellent photographic moments. As the sun sets on another perfect day, look forward to your final game drive in the morning.

Day 9
This morning's game drive is followed by a delicious breakfast. It is amazing how much better food tastes in the bush! Then bid farewell to this unspoilt wilderness as you depart for your flight to Johannesburg and connection to your homebound flight.

Day 10
Arrive home filled with memories of a honeymoon of a lifetime.
