Day 01
Depart Washington for your flight to Windhoek, Namibia via Johannesburg on South African Airways.

Day 02
Upon arrival at Johannesburg International Airport you will have to go through Immigration and clear Customs, re-check your bags and then proceed for your onward flight to Windhoek. On arrival at Windhoek International Airport you will be met and transferred by scheduled road transfer to the Windhoek Country Club. Accommodation will be reserved for you for one night in a standard room inclusive of breakfast. The desert oasis theme of the Windhoek Country Club Resort is no coincidence. The hotel is a true haven of charm and hospitality, situated on the outskirts of the picturesque Namibian town of Windhoek. Upon arrival, you might want to take some time to acclimatize to the arid desert environment. Any of our 39 Luxury Rooms, 105 Hollywood twins, 6 suites or double storey Presidential Suite should provide a sanctuary. Rooms have individual heating and cooling controls, bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, direct dial phones, 24-hour room service, electric razor plugs, mini bars, hair dryers, DStv and a balcony. A massage therapy studio is situated within the complex, specializing in relaxation massage and a wide selection of eateries is available, including an African-theme restaurant and an oriental "alternative dining experience". Cocktails and sundowners can be enjoyed at the beautiful pool bar, set amongst rock formations at the pool. An Entertainment Centre and Desert Jewel Casino features a variety of games and slot machines. The resort is ideally situated on the Windhoek Country Club Golf Course. For tennis enthusiasts there are two all-weather floodlit tennis courts adjacent to the hotel.

Day 03
This morning after breakfast and check-out procedures, you will be met and transferred by scheduled road to Eros Airport. On arrival at Eros Airport you will be met by a Sefofane representative and transferred by scheduled light aircraft to Kulala Desert Lodge. On arrival at the Kulala Airstrip you will be met by a lodge representative and transferred by road to Kulala Desert Lodge. Accommodation will be reserved for you for two nights in a tent inclusive of all meals, scheduled daily activities, laundry and drinks (excluding premium imported brands). Situated on over 21, 000 hectares of private property and bordering the Namib Naukluft Park, Kulala Desert Lodge lies in the heart of the Namib and offers magnificent views of the famous red dunes of Sossusvlei as well as magnificent mountainous scenery and vast open plains. Fifteen thatched and canvas chalets or "Kulalas" (Kulala in the Namibian language "oshiwambo" means "to sleep") with en-suite bathrooms and showers are set on wooden platforms to provide maximum airflow. An option for outdoor enthusiasts is that bedrolls can be moved to the rooftop to sleep under the stars. The main lodge, with décor inspired by northern Africa, has a lounge, pub, dining area and plunge pool, and offers a wrap-around veranda that overlooks the waterhole and provides a perfect location to view and photograph the desert scenery.

Day 04
Today you will be at leisure and participate in game viewing activities offer by the camp. Early morning guided nature drives to the spectacular dunes are through a private gate on the Tsauchab River. Nature drives and walks are also offered on the private reserve with incredible views, desert animals and smaller desert fauna and flora. Another option, at an extra cost, is early morning ballooning, beginning at first light, the 60-90 minute balloon safari offers a truly unique experience to soar silently above the magnificent sand dunes and desert, with a champagne breakfast being served at your landing site.

Day 05
After your morning activity and brunch, you will be transferred by road to the Kulala Airstrip and met by a Sefofane representative and transferred by scheduled light aircraft to Swakopmund Airport. On arrival at Swakopmund Airport, you will be met and transferred by scheduled road to Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre. Accommodation will be reserved for you for one night in a standard room inclusive of breakfast. The Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre was voted the best hotel in 1995. Swakopmund's old Station Building, proclaimed a national monument in 1972, forms the central feature and reception area of the hotel. The exterior of the original building was refurbished and restored to its original condition, while its atmosphere and style were carried through to the surrounding hotel and entertainment complex. The 44 twin rooms, 30 family rooms, 14 luxury rooms and 2 luxury suites are all decorated in a Victorian style reminiscent of a bygone era of grace and civility. Rooms have individual air-conditioning, television, tea/coffee making facilities, bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, direct dial phones, electronic safes, electric razor plugs, fully stocked mini bars, hair dryers, eight channel TV including a German channel and M-Net. Meals can be served in your room at certain times and there is a 24-hour room service snack menu. Other amenities include conference facilities for up to 350 delegates, an entertainment centre with the Tavern Bar featuring live entertainment nightly, two cinemas, a video arcade, a gym, a hairdresser and various shops. The Mermaid Casino offers excitement for gamblers, while the Platform One restaurant, resembling slightly the interior of a train, offers top-class meals to discerning gourmets. Ideally situated close the city centre, the beach and the public pool.

Day 06
This morning after breakfast and check-out procedures, you will be met and transferred by scheduled road to Swakopmund Airport. On arrival at Swakopmund Airport you will be met by a Sefofane representative and transferred by scheduled light aircraft to Ongava Game Lodge. On arrival at the Ongava Airstrip you will be met by a lodge representative and transferred by road to Ongava Lodge. Accommodation will be reserved for you for two nights in a tent inclusive of all meals, scheduled daily activities, laundry and drinks (excluding premium imported brands). From its beautiful vantage point overlooking a well-frequented watering point and the sweep of the African plains beyond, the well established Ongava Game Lodge is situated along the southern boundary of Etosha National Park in the privately owned Ongava Game Reserve. Ongava is the ideal place from which to base your activities when visiting Etosha. The 12 tastefully appointed air-conditioned brick, rock and thatch chalets, each have en-suite facilities with private decks and a centrally located shady swimming pool. Meals are either served in the main dining area under thatch with a view over the camp's water hole or, weather permitting, on the dining deck under the stars.

Day 07
Today you will be at leisure and participate in game viewing activities offer by the camp. Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles into the Okaukuejo area of Etosha where Lion, Elephant, Cheetah, Gemsbok, Springbok, and Hartebeest can be seen at many of the water holes in the park. In addition, night drives, hides and guided walks with armed guides are enjoyed on the private reserve. Ongava has resident White and Black Rhino, giving guests staying at Ongava the opportunity to see both species.

Day 08
After your morning activity and brunch, you will be transferred by road to the Ongava Airstrip and met by a Sefofane representative and transferred by scheduled light aircraft to Eros Airport. On arrival at Windhoek International Airport you will be met and transferred by scheduled road transfer to The Windhoek Country Club. Accommodation will be reserved for you for one night in a deluxe room inclusive of breakfast.

Day 09
After breakfast you'll be transferred back to Windhoek Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg. Upon arrival in Johannesburg you will connect for your ongoing flight to Washington on South African Airways. (B)
